Manchester City stars such as Stefan Ortega and James McAtee have strongly been linked with exits this summer.
After signing James Trafford, Manchester City have instructed Ortega to depart while McAtee fancies a Premier League move.

Roma pushing for option-to-buy clause in Claudio Echeverri loan deal
Manchester City fans will be curious to discover how Claudio Echeverri fares next season.
Roma are eyeing a loan move for Echeverri, with the Argentine expected to feature infrequently for City during the 2025/2026 campaign.
Manchester City are open to sending Echeverri out on loan to their sister club Girona but the player is keen on joining Roma, as per journalist Daniele Longo.
The Italian club’s director of football, Frederic Massara would like an option-to-buy clause inserted in a potential loan deal involving the 19-year-old.
Pep Guardiola’s stance on Claudio Echeverri
Pep Guardiola described Echeverri as an “incredible player” as he lauded the midfielder’s work ethic as he scored a brilliant free-kick against Al Ain, which suggests that he would prefer if he signed for Girona on a standard loan deal instead of Roma.
Guardiola said: “I want to tell you a secret: Last season, when he [Echeverri] arrived, after every training session he practiced free-kicks alone! So always; work pays off! If you score a goal, it’s because he practiced! When the other guys don’t practice, they don’t score goals.”
“He is an incredible player from a small town [Resistencia], a big, big talent in small spaces and [I’m] happy for him. Great goal.”
Considering Manchester City signed Echeverri in January last year, it would come as a shock if they handed Roma the chance to eventually complete a permanent transfer. Judging by Pep Guardiola’s comments, he seems to have high hopes for the former River Plate wonderkid in a City shirt.
