Kyle Walker would have especially frustrated after Manchester City lost 2-0 to Liverpool in what is now their fourth consecutive Premier League defeat.
Walker’s thoughts on facing Liverpool in the build-up to Sunday’s contest were that it was a “must-win” game.
As a result, the Manchester City right-back would have been devastated to witness that his team did not even remotely look like they could stage a comeback at any point of the game.
Walker argued with Bernardo Silva and Ruben Dias within 14 minutes of the encounter as he seemed irate at the nature of Cody Gakpo’s early goal.
Walker’s message to Manchester City supporters after the contest was to support them during their lowest point in years while guaranteeing that the team will fight until the very end.
Kyle Walker perhaps felt the need to express his feelings on City’s struggles by communicating with the fans as the captain of the club.

Especially after not having had his best game yet as Walker was one of the defenders responsible for both of Liverpool’s goals as he made his return to City’s starting line-up.
However, the Sky Blues’ online fanbase did not appreciate the Englishman’s comments as they feel that his unimpressive performances this season is a major reason why Pep Guardiola and Co are struggling.
A City fan wrote: “Leave my club if you have some self awareness left.”
A Sky Blues fan wrote: “Can Kyle Walker just stop talking please and concentrate on his defending or lack thereof?”
It seems like Walker’s gesture has backfired on him.

Jamie Carragher slated Walker against Liverpool and named him as a weak link for Manchester City as well.
Carragher said: “He can switch off and that’s always been the negative about him. He doesn’t look again and switches off.”
“That has been a problem throughout his career. That is nothing to do with his age.”
“He has become a little bit of a liability for Man City.”
Manchester City fans demanded Walker’s sale after his poor showing against Liverpool as well.
It seems like the revered defender is starting to lose the faith amongst City supporters as a player who can help them compete for the biggest honours.
