Based on the signings they look set to make this summer, it seems like Manchester City are out for revenge after enduring a bitterly disappointing 2024/2025 campaign.
Rayan Ait-Nouri has signed for Manchester City, and he could prove to be an astute addition to the Sky Blues’ roster as they have lacked a natural left-back in their ranks since both Gael Clichy and Aleksandar Kolarov.
One of Europe’s best attacking midfielders in Rayan Cherki has agreed to join Manchester City as well and on Tuesday, the Frenchman is likely to undergo his medical.
Tijjani Reijnders confirmed his move to Manchester City, who is one of the best central midfielders in the world and could add a much-needed blend of silk and steel to Pep Guardiola’s midfield next season.
Man City interested in signing Lucas Chevalier
Le Parisien have now reported that Lucas Chevalier is on Manchester City’s as well as Manchester United’s shortlist, who plays alongside Cherki for the French national team.
However, Paris Saint-Germain consider Chevalier as a priority target as Gianluigi Donnarumma’s future is uncertain and the treble-winners have held a longstanding interest in the LOSC Lille goalkeeper — despite yet to formalise their interest.

PSG are believed to be ready to compete with both Manchester clubs to sign the 23-year-old in the summer.
But Lille could demand as much as €70 million (£59.3 million) from Chevalier’s suitors if he signs a new contract, which would a hefty sum to pay for Manchester City, who signed Ederson for £35 million in 2017.
How Lucas Chevalier feels about Premier League move
The report mentions Lille have offered the Frenchman a one-year contract extension beyond 2027, after a season where he was named the UNFP Best Goalkeeper award.
A move to the Premier League has reportedly always attracted Chevalier, which should delight both Manchester City and Manchester United as he is well and truly a brilliant goalkeeper.
However, the Lille number one is also believed to be enticed by PSG’s project.
But considering Pep Guardiola confirmed Ederson and Stefan Ortega will stay next season, it will be interesting to see if the Manchester City boss goes back on his stance to sign Chevalier.
