The future of Kevin De Bruyne remains uncertain heading into the summer transfer window.
After 10 years with the Manchester club, the Belgian superstar will bring his time at the Etihad Stadium to an end once his contract expires upon the conclusion of the 2024/25 campaign, after a legendary spell in England.
De Bruyne has left the door open to remain in the Premier League and pundit Don Hutchison thinks Liverpool could be an option for the Man City captain.
That is very unlikely to happen as a result of everything the midfielder has achieved with City, with the most likely option for the 33-year-old being a move to the MLS.
Several franchises have shown an interest in De Bruyne, but one in particular could take the superstar’s legacy in football to another level.

Four MLS teams are chasing Kevin De Bruyne’s signature
Four MLS teams are in the race to sign De Bruyne this summer, reports The Athletic, with Inter Miami, Chicago Fire, NYCFC and D.C. United already expressing their interest in the Man City legend.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Chicago Fire have approached De Bruyne to sign on a free transfer this summer, but it remains to be seen if the 33-year-old is keen to join their project.
It was reported this week by The Times that De Bruyne will look at any options he receives from European teams before deciding his next move and there is likely to be several showing interest in signing the midfielder, especially after the Man City captain’s impressive performance against Crystal Palace.
Wherever the Belgian goes he is very likely to be a big hit, but football fans would undoubtedly like to see what would happen if the legendary midfielder made the move to one ‘fantastic’ club.
Kevin De Bruyne needs to link up with Lionel Messi at Inter Miami
Inter Miami hold the discovery rights for De Bruyne ahead of the summer transfer window, which means they are the MLS franchise that gets priority in a deal for the Belgian star.
However, with the Miami-based team already have several other superstars on their roster, such as Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba, Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets; therefore, they will not be able to offer the Man City star the salary that other American teams can, which is why they have come into play.
De Bruyne needs to forget the money for his next move as he has earned enough in Manchester over the years.
A switch to Inter Miami would see him join a team Atlanta United coach Rob Valentino has described as ‘fantastic’ and who will be one of the favourites to win the MLS this season.
A Miami move would also earn De Bruyne some incredible memories as the Belgian would get to play alongside Messi, who is considered the greatest player to ever play football.
Winning Inter Miami’s first MLS title alongside each other would take the Man City star’s legacy to another level as the team are the most watched in America as a result of the Argentina star’s presence.
