Man City are currently preparing for their FA Cup semi-final clash with Nottingham Forest this weekend.
Football’s oldest competition is the last domestic trophy the Manchester club can win this season and Pep Guardiola’s side arrive into the contest in good form despite experiencing an underwhelming 2024/25 campaign.
Matheus Nunes helped Man City beat Aston Villa 2-1 last time out, which continued City’s unbeaten run to seven games, with their last defeat coming at the hands of Nottingham Forest at the start of March.
Confidence will be high heading ahead of facing Forest again at Wembley this weekend, however, Guardiola has received some bad news in the form of an injury.

Oscar Bobb suffers fresh injury setback
Oscar Bobb suffered a broken leg back in August and it has kept the Norwegian out for the majority of the 2024/25 season.
It has been a very difficult campaign for the 21-year-old, who has only played 106 minutes this season, having returned to action for Man City back in March.
Having been on the sidelines for so long, other setbacks were bound to arrive, and that is what has happened with his latest injury issue, which is not deemed serious, says Norway’s national team manager Ståle Solbakken.
“He has suffered another minor injury,” Solbakken told NRK about Bobb’s fitness. “I don’t know anything about the time perspective, but it is not a serious injury.”
This is the positivity in the news for Guardiola as the Man City boss will be keen to have a player he once described as an ‘incredible threat’ to ManCity.com back to full fitness before the FIFA Club World Cup begins in June.
