Judging by several pundits’ predictions for the upcoming 2024/2025 Premier League season, they expect the title race to boil down between Manchester City and Arsenal.

Darren Ambrose claim City will beat Arsenal to the league title as he backs them to get over the line no matter what the circumstances are.

Jamie Carragher also backed Manchester City over Arsenal to become the champions of England as he feels they have far more firepower in attack than Mikel Arteta’s side.

When City had beaten Liverpool to the title in the 2018/2019 season, Jurgen Klopp spearheaded the Reds to snatch the crown off them in the following campaign; a feat the Gunners failed to achieve during the previous campaign.

While the consensus seems to be that the Sky Blues remain the best-placed to defend their crown, Paul Scholes expects Arsenal to usurp City as the Premier League winners.

Keane now reveals his Premier League title prediction

Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta will likely be disappointed if either of their teams fail to contend for the title.

Judging by the quality of both managers and the squads at their disposal as well as recent history, it is difficult to look past the two sides as the best-placed to compete with other for the coveted crown.

However, Roy Keane still feels Manchester City will beat Arsenal to the league title, as he claimed on The Overlap’s Stick To Football show.

Gary Neville asked: “The Premier League winner will be, Wrighty?”

Ian Wright replied: “Arsenal.”

Neville asked: “Roy [Keane]?”

Keane said: “City.”

Jill Scott and Jamie Carragher chimed in by agreeing with Roy Keane.

While predicting the teams he expects to get into the top four, Roy Keane went on to name Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United and Aston Villa.

Kyle Walker indicated why Man City will be fired up to usurp Arsenal once again

Kyle Walker claimed if Manchester City win the league for the fifth time in a row, the feat is one he does not think will ever be replicated; a goal he feels him and his side must be driven to achieve.

Considering the City captain seems amped up to make even more history this season, his teammates will also be aware of the legacies they could create in English footballing folklore by winning the title again.

With a senior figure in the club’s dressing room like the six-time Premier League winner making such claims is an ominous sign for their title rivals, such as Arsenal.

If Walker’s teammates tap into his mindset ahead of the campaign, they will be more determined than ever to beat Arteta’s side to the title; a mentality that has led to their dominance in recent years.

With Manchester City having the experience, quality and thoroughbred winners like the Englishman at their disposal, the rationale behind Roy Keane’s prediction is more than justified.
