It could be argued that Sergio Aguero and Mohamed Salah are two of the most devastating goalscorers in Premier League history.

Even Erling Haaland felt Aguero was better than him which goes to show how outstanding of a player he is.

As for Mohamed Salah, he is having one of the best individual campaigns a Premier League player ever has and is undoubtedly one of the greatest players to grace the English game.

Omar Marmoush idolises Salah and it is tough not to for most players around the world when witnessing his greatness week in and week out.

Wayne Rooney, who himself is an all-time great was quizzed about which player was better out of Sergio Aguero and Salah.

Wayne Rooney says Sergio Aguero was better than Mohamed Salah

Rooney played against both Aguero and Salah during his time at Manchester United and Everton.

Considering Wayne Rooney played against Salah just once while facing Aguero, who was incredible at Manchester City in several Manchester derbies, he especially knows how good the latter was.

As a result, Rooney had no choice but to side with the Argentine, instantly replying: “Aguero” when asked the question by the Daily Mail.

The Englishman felt the Manchester City legend was even better than himself, Karim Benzema and Raul Gonzalez – which highlights how much he respects the retired striker.

What Mohamed Salah said about Sergio Aguero

Mohamed Salah called Aguero a “legend” after surpassing him as the Premier League’s highest-scoring foreign player in history, as he said: “I knew about the record but I didn’t think about it while I was playing.”

But I know about the record. It’s a good record to be equalising; Sergio is a great player, he was a legend here for the league. So I’m happy about that and I’m happy about the win as well.”

While some might agree with Wayne Rooney and others might not, what cannot be disputed is the greatness of both Aguero and Salah.
