Claudio Echeverri is the future of Manchester City.
The 19-year-old is one of the most exciting youngsters at the Premier League club after arriving at the Etihad Stadium in January, after City signed the Argentina star from River Plate a year prior in January 2024.
The hype around the attacking midfielder can be seen with the praise Echeverri has received from Xavi and Angel Di Maria, and it won’t be long before Man City fans get to see the talent with their own eyes.
Pep Guardiola plans to embed Echeverri into his Man City team slowly and in the meantime, the 19-year-old is getting used to his surroundings and has been impressed with several stars during training sessions with the Premier League giants.

Claudio Echeverri impressed with four Man City stars in training
Echeverri has been spending the last few months in and around Guardiola’s squad and in a recent interview with Man City’s media team, the Argentine has shown that he is beginning to settle in.
The 19-year-old opened up on his time at Man City so far and has revealed the four players that have impressed him most in training.
“Honestly, Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku, Savinho and Kevin De Bruyne,” Echeverrri said. “The truth is those players are really top-level, they gave a lot for this club, it’s really something great.
“They are always surprising me, more and more, with all the things they do. The truth is being with them and seeing them in training, their skills or the new things they do, it’s something wonderful, it’s really great.”
The inclusion of Doku in the four may surprise people as the 22-year-old has been up and down since his £55.5m move from Rennes in 2023, but it highlights once again just how much talent the Belgian has, which is why Man City fans have been impressed with the winger recently.

What Man City stars are helping Claudio Echeverri settle in
Echeverri spoke to Man City legend Sergio Aguero before moving to Manchester with the former striker being someone the youngster can go to if he finds himself struggling at the Etihad.
In addition to Aguero, Echeverri has admitted that several stars are helping him to settle in at City, with the 19-year-old telling Man City’s media team the four players he is closest with.
“The truth is that they are all very good people, they make the effort to talk to me,” Echeverri said. “The ones I get along best with are Savinho, Nico Gonzalez, Vitor Reis and Matheus Nunes. They talk to me, to adapt to the group and have confidence.”
It won’t be long before the Premier League gets a glimpse of this top talent as Guardiola continues to help him hone his skills behind the scenes before unleashing him on the competition next season.
