It remains to be seen where the next chapter in Kevin De Bruyne’s career will take place.

De Bruyne is set to leave Man City at the end of his contract after spending an incredible 10 years at the Etihad Stadium, with many clubs now set to fight for his signature.

The Man City star has been linked with a move to MLS for weeks, but it has been reported that the midfielder hopes to remain in Europe, and an offer from an exciting project could keep him on the continent for a few more years.

It was reported on Wednesday night by Gianluca Di Marzio, that Napoli are seriously considering a move for De Bruyne, while the report also stated that the Belgian has an offer on the table from Liverpool.

De Bruyne has left the door open to remain in the Premier League, but Liverpool journalists have now had their say on the transfer.

Kevin De Bruyne has no offer from Liverpool

De Bruyne left the door open to remain in the Premier League after a recent win against Crystal Palace and in the aftermath of the comments, many pundits such as Don Hutchison linked the Man City legend to Liverpool.

This will have only increased after Di Marzio’s report, but Liverpool journalists James Pearce and Ian Doyle have now cleared up the situation.

When asked about Liverpool’s offer to De Bruyne on X (formerly known as Twitter), The Athletic’s James Pearce responded by saying: “There’s been no offer from Liverpool.”

In addition to this, the Liverpool Echo has reported that the Reds have not made an offer to Man City’s De Bruyne this summer and instead the recruitment team of the Merseyside club are currently focusing on other targets to improve Arne Slot’s squad ahead of next season.

It remains to be seen if any other club arrives for the 33-year-old in the coming weeks, as a final decision on the midfielder’s future is set to come soon.

Kevin De Bruyne is not a good fit for Liverpool

Wayne Rooney is one of many who regard De Bruyne as one of the best players the Premier League has ever seen; however, the body of the veteran midfielder has not been able to keep up with the demands of the English top flight over the last two years.

Ben Foster recently stated that De Bruyne is now too slow for the Premier League and therefore, the Belgian would not be a good fit at Liverpool.

Slot demands a lot from his team from a physical point of view and often praises Dominik Szoboszlai for the amount of running he does in a match.

The Hungarian’s role is where De Bruyne would likely slot into at times and recent evidence suggests that the 33-year-old would not be able to execute it to the level Slot would demand.

The Man City star would have been a dream signing for Liverpool fans in the past, but having remained loyal to the Manchester club for ten years, the midfielder’s career is very likely to continue outside of England.
